Mashreq Pilots IBM Bob for Integration Engineering

Mashreq is piloting IBM Bob, an AI-assisted software engineering platform, in its integration engineering work. IBM announced the pilot on 12 October 2026 as part of a broader effort to speed up the design and maintenance of connections between banking systems.

IBM says the pilot demonstrated a 60% to 70% reduction in the time required for integration design and troubleshooting. A secure gateway used in the programme manages about 4,000 AI-agent requests each month across digital banking, payments and enterprise systems.

The trial combines Mashreq’s integration platform with IBM Bob and IBM Context Forge. The reported results describe a technology pilot and do not confirm a full rollout or new vacancies. Source: IBM.
