Mashreq Appoints Rajeev Bhatnagar as Group Chief Risk Officer

Mashreq has appointed Rajeev Bhatnagar as Group Chief Risk Officer, placing him in charge of the bank’s group risk-management function. The appointment was confirmed on 6 October 2026.

Bhatnagar joins after more than six years at BNY, where his most recent role covered risk and compliance for international operations serving clients in more than 100 countries. He previously held senior risk positions at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Citigroup.

At Mashreq, he will work with the Board Risk Committee, Executive Committee and business leaders on risk governance, culture and management capabilities.
