Mashreq Completes First CNH 1 Billion Dim Sum Bond
Mashreq has completed its first public offshore renminbi bond, raising CNH 1 billion, or about $149 million, through a three-year senior unsecured Dim Sum issue. The bank announced the transaction on 15 October 2026.
The notes carry a fixed 2.50% coupon. Mashreq said the order book peaked at CNH 2.3 billion, more than twice the deal size, with demand from Asian institutional investors. Listing is expected on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Dubai, with settlement through Euroclear and Clearstream and links to Hong Kong’s Central Moneymarkets Unit.
The issue gives Mashreq a new funding channel in the offshore Chinese currency market and broadens its investor base in Asia. Bond terms and market values can change, and this report is informational rather than investment advice. Source: Khaleej Times.
