Job Description

Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) is the team inside Amazon that works with a defined set of strategic brands to help them get more out of selling on Amazon, and this Brand Specialist role is one of the client-facing seats on that team, specifically earmarked for UAE nationals. Rather than owning a category the way a category-side Vendor Manager does, a Brand Specialist owns the end-to-end relationship with a handful of named brand accounts, acting as their advocate and advisor inside Amazon.

The daily work centers on regular business reviews with brand contacts, covering selection, content quality, advertising, pricing, and operational health, then translating those conversations into internal actions with Amazon’s retail, marketing, and operations teams. A Brand Specialist is expected to understand a brand’s business well enough to proactively flag opportunities and risks, not just respond to tickets.

This role suits someone with account management, client services, or consulting-style experience who is comfortable being the face of Amazon to senior brand stakeholders while also being fluent enough in the data to back up every recommendation. Strong written and spoken communication matters as much as analytical ability, because a large part of the job is running the meeting, not just producing the numbers behind it.

As a UAE Nationals-focused position, it is also part of Amazon’s broader Emiratization hiring effort in the region, giving UAE nationals a structured entry point into one of Amazon’s most visible client-facing teams.

Impact of the Job

Brand Specialists inside Amazon Vendor Services sit at the point where a brand's growth ambitions and Amazon's own retail priorities either align or don't, and the quality of that relationship has a direct commercial effect. A brand that trusts its Brand Specialist tends to invest more in its Amazon presence, expanding selection, improving content, and putting more advertising budget behind its listings, all of which grows sales for both the brand and Amazon. Conversely, a poorly managed relationship can mean a strategic brand under-invests in the channel or escalates problems that a proactive account manager should have caught earlier. Because AVS is reserved for a defined set of important accounts rather than the long tail of vendors, each Brand Specialist's portfolio carries real commercial weight, and consistent, well-prepared business reviews are what keep those brands engaged quarter over quarter. The role also matters to Amazon's broader UAE Emiratization goals, since building a strong bench of UAE national talent in client-facing commercial roles is itself a business priority the company reports on.

Job Seeker Benefit

This role is a genuinely strong training ground for anyone who wants a career in account management, brand strategy, or commercial partnerships, because it combines client-facing communication with hard analytical rigor in a way that few entry-to-mid-level roles do. A Brand Specialist learns to run a structured business review, defend a recommendation with data in the room, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders who are used to being pushed back on with evidence rather than opinion. Those are skills that carry directly into brand management, digital marketing, consulting, and general commercial leadership paths well beyond Amazon itself. The role also gives a front-row seat into how the brands people recognize from supermarket shelves and shopping malls actually manage their e-commerce strategy, which is valuable exposure for anyone curious about retail or marketing more broadly. For UAE nationals specifically, this seat is one of the more established structured entry points into a large multinational's commercial organization, with the kind of internal mentorship, defined career ladders, and internal mobility across teams and geographies that come with being part of a major global company. Building a portfolio of relationships with well-known brand partners while still early in a career also creates a strong professional network that tends to pay off well after this specific role ends.
