Job Description

This role sits within one of the Middle East’s leading health and fitness businesses, owned and operated by Landmark Group as part of its diversified retail and hospitality portfolio spanning over 70,000 members across more than 50 clubs. A Membership Consultant is the frontline sales role responsible for converting prospective members into paying club members and supporting them through onboarding.

Day to day, the role means engaging with walk-in prospects and leads to understand their fitness goals, presenting membership options clearly and persuasively, following up on leads and past prospects to close sales, and hitting individual and club-level membership targets consistently. It’s a genuinely sales-driven role, requiring comfort with target-based performance and the resilience that comes with any consultative sales position, alongside a real interest in health and fitness.

It suits someone with sales or customer-facing experience, ideally within fitness, hospitality, or another membership or subscription-based business, who’s motivated by hitting targets and enjoys the relationship-building side of sales rather than just transactional selling. Genuine enthusiasm for fitness and wellness tends to make the consultative side of this role feel more natural.

Given the scale of the club network this role sits within, strong performers have real visibility and room to grow within one of the region’s most established fitness businesses.

Impact of the Job

Membership sales are the core revenue driver for a fitness club business, so a Membership Consultant's day-to-day performance — how many prospects convert, how well leads are followed up, how clearly membership value is communicated — has a direct and immediate effect on club revenue. Beyond the immediate sale, the quality of the onboarding experience this role provides also shapes whether a new member actually starts using the club and sees value in their membership, which in turn affects retention and renewal rates further down the line. Across a network of more than 50 clubs and 70,000 members, consistent membership consultant performance at the individual club level is what aggregates into overall business health for the group. In a competitive fitness market, where consumers have multiple club options, the quality of the sales and onboarding experience is often what tips a prospect's decision one way or the other. Because members who join through a strong, well-informed sales conversation tend to understand and use their membership better from day one, this role's impact extends well past the initial sale itself.

Job Seeker Benefit

A Membership Consultant role builds genuinely strong consultative sales skills — needs assessment, objection handling, closing, relationship follow-through — that are directly transferable to sales roles across almost any industry, not just fitness. Working within one of the region's largest fitness club networks also provides exposure to a genuinely high-volume sales environment, which builds resilience and consistency faster than a lower-volume sales role would. For someone who enjoys sales and has a genuine interest in health and fitness, this role offers the rare combination of doing consultative sales work around a subject they're personally motivated by, which tends to sustain performance and job satisfaction better than selling something the salesperson doesn't personally care about. Strong performers in target-driven consultant roles like this one are also frequently considered for club management or regional sales leadership positions within Landmark Group's fitness business over time. For someone building a long-term sales career, particularly one who wants that career to intersect with their interest in wellness, this is a practical and genuinely rewarding starting point. It also builds genuine comfort with rejection and follow-through, two qualities that separate sustainably successful salespeople from those who burn out quickly in target-driven roles. It is a genuinely strong foundation for a long sales career.
