Mubadala and Aldar Acquire Masdar City Square for AED 918 Million

Mubadala and Aldar have acquired Masdar City Square for AED 918 million through their jointly owned real estate venture. The transaction expands the partners’ income-producing property portfolio in Masdar City to AED 4.7 billion.

The complex contains more than 47,000 square metres of leasable space across seven Grade A office buildings. Completed in the first quarter of 2026, it is 99% occupied by organisations working in energy, education, artificial intelligence and government services.

Masdar City Square holds LEED Platinum and WELL Gold certifications and includes a net-zero office building. The acquisition deepens Mubadala and Aldar’s exposure to a business district focused on clean energy, technology and sustainable urban development.
