GEMS Education Joins Global School Esports Competition Ahead of Dubai Finals
Registration has opened for EGAMES DUBAI27, a global school esports competition co-created by Varkey Group and the British Esports Federation. GEMS Education is participating as an education partner.
Students will qualify through national tournaments before live finals at GEMS School of Research & Innovation in Dubai in April 2027. The first finals are planned around EA SPORTS FC 27, Rocket League and a Minecraft build tournament, with 14 national esports federations already committed.
The organisers position the programme around teamwork, digital skills and safe competition, with prizes that may include scholarships and equipment for schools. Participation criteria are set by the organisers and national federations. Source: GEMS Education.
