Job Description

MAF LifeStyle, the part of Majid Al Futtaim’s portfolio covering lifestyle and leisure businesses, is hiring a Financial Analyst in Dubai to support its business development function. The role is research-and-analysis heavy: supporting evaluation of new business opportunities through market research, competitor mapping, and feasibility analysis rather than running day-to-day transactional finance.

Practically, this means building financial models to assess the viability of potential new ventures or expansions, researching and mapping the competitive landscape relevant to a given opportunity, pulling together feasibility studies that combine financial and market analysis, and presenting findings in a way that helps business development leadership decide whether and how to pursue a given opportunity. The work sits closer to strategy and corporate development than to standard accounting or reporting.

Because MAF LifeStyle spans a mix of entertainment, leisure, and lifestyle businesses, the Financial Analyst needs to be comfortable moving between different business models and revenue structures rather than specializing narrowly in one.

It suits someone analytically strong who enjoys the research and evaluation side of finance, building a case for or against a new opportunity, over routine bookkeeping or reporting work.

Impact of the Job

Business development decisions, whether to enter a new market, launch a new concept, or expand an existing one, carry real capital risk, and the quality of the feasibility analysis behind those decisions directly affects whether MAF LifeStyle invests well or poorly. This Financial Analyst's research and modelling work is a direct input into decisions that shape the future direction and growth of the lifestyle and leisure businesses within Majid Al Futtaim's broader portfolio. Because the leisure and entertainment sector is highly sensitive to shifting consumer trends and competitive dynamics, rigorous, up-to-date competitor mapping and market analysis also helps MAF LifeStyle avoid committing to opportunities that look attractive on paper but are already crowded or declining, a risk that's easy to underestimate without disciplined analysis. Because business development bets in leisure and entertainment often require significant upfront investment before any revenue materializes, the quality of this upfront analysis has an outsized effect on how efficiently MAF LifeStyle deploys capital across its portfolio of concepts.

Job Seeker Benefit

Supporting business development through feasibility and market analysis is a strong stepping stone toward corporate development, strategy, or investment-focused finance roles, since it builds exactly the skill set those roles require: financial modelling combined with real market and competitive research, rather than purely backward-looking reporting. Working across MAF LifeStyle's varied entertainment and leisure businesses also builds unusually broad commercial exposure for an analyst-level role, since few finance roles expose someone to such a mix of different business models and revenue structures within a single seat, which is a genuine differentiator on a resume. For someone eyeing a longer-term move into corporate strategy, private equity-adjacent roles, or senior business development leadership, this role offers a credible, concrete proof point: real experience building the financial case for new business opportunities within a large, diversified regional conglomerate. Working across such varied business lines also trains someone to ask the right diagnostic questions quickly when evaluating an unfamiliar opportunity, a skill that compounds in value the more senior and strategic the role becomes. Because the role sits close to where real investment decisions get made, it also gives an early-career analyst a front-row view of how senior leadership actually weighs risk against opportunity, a perspective that's far harder to build from a purely reporting-focused finance seat elsewhere in the business.
