Job Description

Majid Al Futtaim’s Development arm supports Sales Operations with data and analytics, and this Emirati Talent Senior Associate Data Analyst role focuses on turning sales and operational data into insight that supports decision-making across the business. This is a UAE National talent development role designed to build local analytics capability within the group.

The day-to-day work involves building and maintaining reports and dashboards that track sales performance and operational metrics, analyzing trends to identify opportunities or risks, and working closely with Sales Operations stakeholders to understand what questions the business actually needs answered before diving into the data. A meaningful part of the role is translation: turning a business question into a data analysis, and then translating the analysis back into a clear recommendation that non-technical stakeholders can act on.

Because this sits within Sales Operations rather than a central data team, the role requires strong domain understanding of how a sales organization actually works, funnel metrics, deal cycles, performance tracking, in addition to general data analysis skill. Attention to data accuracy is critical, since sales leadership will make real commercial decisions based on this analyst’s reporting.

This is a strong opportunity for a UAE National early in an analytics career who wants hands-on exposure to how a major regional developer’s sales operations are run, combined with structured talent development support.

Impact of the Job

Sales Operations decisions, where to focus sales effort, which performance issues need intervention, how deal pipelines are tracking, depend on accurate, timely data, and this role is a direct contributor to whether that decision-making is well informed or based on guesswork. A Data Analyst who builds reliable dashboards and flags trends early gives sales leadership the visibility they need to intervene before a performance issue becomes a bigger problem, whether that's a stalling pipeline, an underperforming project, or an operational bottleneck. Because Majid Al Futtaim Development operates in the real estate sector, where individual sales transactions can be very high value, even small improvements in how sales performance is tracked and analyzed can have a meaningful effect on how effectively the sales organization is managed. Data accuracy is non-negotiable in this context: an error in a report that leads leadership to misjudge performance or misallocate resources carries real commercial consequences, not just an internal inconvenience. As a talent development role, this position also has a broader strategic value for Majid Al Futtaim: building a pipeline of Emirati data and analytics talent that can grow into more senior data and business intelligence roles within the group over time, supporting both Emiratisation goals and long-term analytics capability.

Job Seeker Benefit

This role builds foundational, highly transferable data analysis skills, translating a business question into an analysis and then into a clear recommendation, while embedded within a real sales operations context rather than an abstract data team. That domain-grounded analytics experience, understanding how sales metrics actually drive business decisions, is more valuable early in a career than generic data skills learned in isolation, because it teaches judgment about which numbers actually matter. Working within Majid Al Futtaim's Development business also provides exposure to real estate sales operations at a major regional developer, a specific and valuable industry context that few analytics roles offer this early in a career. Building strong Excel and BI tool skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) early on compounds significantly in value as an analytics career progresses into more senior data science, business intelligence, or strategy roles that rely even more heavily on these tools. As a UAE National talent development role, it also typically comes with structured mentorship and a clearer path toward more senior analyst, Business Intelligence, or Sales Operations Manager roles than an equivalent open-market entry role might offer. People who build a strong foundation in a role like this often progress into Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or Sales Operations Manager positions within a few years, carrying forward both technical analytics skill and genuine business context.

Interview Questions to Prepare For

Tell me about a time you turned raw data into a recommendation someone actually acted on.

A specific, credible example with a clear outcome.

How would you build a dashboard to track sales pipeline health?

A sensible set of metrics (conversion rates, stage duration, deal value) and reasoning for choosing them.

Honesty and a proactive correction process.

How comfortable are you with Excel and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau?

Specific, honest self-assessment of tool proficiency.

Proactive questioning rather than guessing at requirements.
