GEMS and Napster Plan Responsible AI Agents for Schools

GEMS Education and Napster have formed a partnership to develop and evaluate human-centred AI agents and digital personas for education. The first phase will be based at the GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Dubai.

Teachers, students and technology teams will test potential uses including guided practice, formative feedback, presentation skills, personalised learning and professional development. Planned prototypes include teacher-informed digital personas, gamified learning, AI-assisted content creation and classroom simulations.

The partners aim to produce a working solution before the end of 2026, with safety rules, age-appropriate design and human oversight built into development. GEMS says the technology is intended to extend access to approved teacher expertise outside school hours rather than replace educators.
