About the Role
Jobgether is partnering with a leading technology company to find a Team Lead Data Engineer for a fully remote role based in the UAE. This is a senior position combining hands-on data engineering with team leadership, overseeing the design and delivery of scalable data infrastructure and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, setting technical direction and best practices
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Own the data platform strategy including data lake, warehouse, and streaming systems
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability and quality
- Drive adoption of modern data engineering tools and frameworks
- Manage delivery timelines and contribute to engineering roadmap planning
Requirements
- 5+ years data engineering experience with 2+ years in a team lead or senior role
- Proficiency with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong skills in Python, Spark, and SQL
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt)
- Ability to lead a distributed remote team
