Job Description: As the leading delivery company in the region, talabat has a great responsibility to use data and AI to optimise operations, improve customer experience, and grow the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute data science projects from ideation to production
- Develop machine learning models for recommender systems, demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and logistics
- Perform all types of analysis including descriptive, exploratory, inferential, causal, and predictive analysis
- Design and analyze experiments using sound statistical methodologies
- Work with product data (impressions, events) and product health measurement (conversion, engagement, retention)
- Build LLM and NLP-based solutions for data enrichment and smart automation
- Work with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform
- Develop data engineering pipelines via Airflow and similar tools
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, or similar (postgraduate a plus)
- 7+ years in data science, machine learning, and Gen AI
- Experience in online consumer product data science
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (sklearn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong knowledge of statistics and experiment design
