Role Overview: As a PL/SQL Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain complex database solutions for financial services clients, working within an agile delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
- Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for financial data
- Work with Oracle Database environments in banking and capital markets contexts
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions
- Tune SQL queries for optimal performance on large-scale financial datasets
- Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, and business analysts
- Implement data migration strategies and database upgrades
- Document database architecture and code for knowledge management
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, cursors, triggers)
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS (12c/19c or later)
- Knowledge of SQL performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Experience in financial services or banking domain is a strong plus
- Basic understanding of Java or Python for integration purposes
- Version control experience (Git)
