# DMCC Launches First Tokenised Commodity Under Joint VARA Framework

DMCC announced on 7 September 2026 that a 1,971-kilogram silver bar has become the first tokenised commodity asset launched under its framework with Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. The bar was made in the UAE by SAM Precious Metals, while VARA-regulated Tokinvest is issuing digital interests for eligible investors.

DMCC says Brink’s will provide custody and logistics for the physical silver, which is registered through DMCC Tradeflow. The announcement combines commodity trading infrastructure with regulated digital-asset services. It describes an investment product and supporting arrangements, not a job-opening programme.
