# DEWA Says Smart Bank Guarantee System Cuts Processing Time by 95%

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority says its Smart Bank Guarantee System has reduced transaction turnaround time by 95% and cut reliance on physical guarantees by 74%. The results were announced on 3 October 2026.

DEWA says the system handles about 2,500 bank guarantees a year with a combined value of roughly AED 1 billion. It manages receipt, review, status updates and follow-up through an integrated digital workflow, using robotic process automation for validation, SWIFT authentication and audit trails connected to SAP.

The figures describe an internal financial-process improvement and do not indicate a recruitment programme. They also reflect results reported by DEWA rather than an independently audited comparison.
