# Venue Manager – Marriott International

This Venue Manager role puts someone in charge of a food and beverage outlet within a Marriott property in Dubai, owning the balance between guest experience, operational compliance, and financial performance. It’s a leadership post rather than a service post: the person in this chair is accountable for whether the venue hits its numbers while staying fully compliant with Marriott’s internal audit standards, including Risk Assessment and Control Self-Assessment reviews that larger hotel groups run regularly across their outlets.

The day-to-day mix includes leading the floor team through service, managing rosters and labour cost, working the P&L for the outlet, and making sure every policy and procedure — from food safety to cash handling to incident reporting — is followed to the letter. A meaningful part of the job is people leadership: coaching F&B staff, handling escalations guests raise with the team, and keeping the venue’s culture strong enough that service doesn’t slip when the manager isn’t physically on the floor.

It’s suited to someone who has already managed a venue, restaurant, or bar-level F&B operation and is comfortable owning both the guest-facing and the back-office sides of the job — reading a P&L as confidently as reading a room.

## Requirements

- Prior experience managing a restaurant, bar, or F&B venue, ideally within a branded hotel

- Working knowledge of P&L management, labour scheduling, and cost control for an F&B outlet

- Familiarity with internal audit and compliance processes (risk assessment, self-assessment reviews)

- Proven people-management experience, including coaching and performance conversations

- Strong guest-recovery and escalation-handling skills

- Comfortable working hotel hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods
