# Technician – Majid Al Futtaim

Majid Al Futtaim, whose business spans shopping malls, retail, leisure, and entertainment destinations across the region, is hiring a Technician in Dubai. Roles like this one typically sit within facilities or mall operations, keeping the mechanical, electrical, or general maintenance systems of a large retail or leisure destination running smoothly for the thousands of visitors and tenants who pass through daily.

Expect the work to involve routine maintenance checks, responding to reported faults across the facility, coordinating with contractors or specialist teams for larger repairs, and generally keeping building systems — whether that’s HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general mechanical equipment — operating reliably. In a high-footfall destination, downtime on basic infrastructure is highly visible, so responsiveness matters as much as technical skill.

It suits someone with a solid trades or technical maintenance background, comfortable working across a variety of building systems rather than a single specialism, and able to prioritize effectively when multiple maintenance requests come in from different parts of a large facility at once.

## Requirements

- Trade qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in facilities/building maintenance

- Practical knowledge across general mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems

- Comfortable prioritizing and responding to multiple maintenance requests in a large facility

- Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors and other facility teams

- Strong awareness of safety procedures in an active public retail/leisure environment

- Willingness to work shift patterns common in retail and leisure facility operations
