# Sr. Product Manager, Emerging Stores CX Improvements, Amazon Customer Service – Amazon

Amazon Customer Service (CS) is one of the largest service organizations inside Amazon, responsible for making sure that every interaction a customer has after they hit “buy” lives up to the promise of the brand. This Senior Product Manager role sits inside the Emerging Stores CX Improvements team within CS, which means the mandate isn’t the mature, well-instrumented experience of amazon.ae’s core marketplace — it’s the newer, faster-moving store formats (think quick commerce, specialty stores, and other emerging retail models) where the customer journey is still being figured out and the service gaps are the least well understood.

Day to day, this is a role built around finding friction before it becomes a trend in the complaint data. That means digging into contact reasons, defect rates, and customer feedback across emerging formats, translating what’s found into a prioritized improvement roadmap, and then doing the unglamorous work of getting that roadmap built — writing the narrative documents Amazon product teams are known for, aligning engineering, operations, and policy stakeholders who don’t report to this role, and tracking outcomes once a fix ships. A lot of the job is influence without authority: this person doesn’t own the store experience end-to-end, so getting anything changed means making a genuinely convincing, data-backed case.

This suits a product manager who’s more energized by ambiguity than by a fully-scoped backlog — someone who can walk into a new business line with relatively immature processes and start imposing structure on it. Strong written communication matters more here than in most PM roles, given Amazon’s well-known preference for detailed written narratives over slide decks. Comfort working across a large organization, with stakeholders inside and outside the immediate team, is essential, since almost nothing here gets fixed by one team acting alone.

## Requirements

- Experience in product management, program management, or a closely related function, ideally touching customer experience, e-commerce, or service operations

- Comfort working with data to identify problems and justify prioritization decisions (SQL or similar analytical tools a plus)

- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, structured narratives for senior stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams — engineering, operations, policy — without direct authority over them

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

- Experience with new or fast-growing business lines, or emerging/quick-commerce retail formats, is an advantage
