# Sort Center Supervisor (UAE National), Sort Center – Amazon

Amazon’s Sort Centers are the middle link in the fulfilment chain: packages arrive from fulfilment centers in bulk and have to be scanned, sorted by delivery route, and staged for the last-mile vans within a tight daily window. The Sort Center Supervisor (UAE National) owns a shift on that floor, running a team of associates against hour-by-hour volume and quality targets while things are moving fast around them.

Day to day, the job is a mix of people management and live problem-solving: starting the shift with a team briefing, assigning associates across induct, sort, and dispatch stations, and then spending most of the shift walking the floor rather than sitting at a desk. When a conveyor jams, a route falls behind, or headcount runs short against volume, the supervisor is the one making the call on how to rebalance the team in real time.

This role sits inside Amazon’s Emiratisation effort, so it is built for UAE nationals who want a structured route into operations leadership at one of the region’s largest logistics employers, with the standard Amazon ops ladder (associate to supervisor to area/ops manager) above it.

## Requirements

- UAE National (Emiratisation-designated role)

- Prior experience leading a team in a warehouse, logistics, retail, or production floor environment

- Comfortable working a full shift on your feet in a fast-paced, metrics-driven operation

- Working knowledge of basic performance metrics (volume, defect rate, SLA attainment) and willingness to use data to make floor decisions

- Clear verbal communication in English and Arabic for daily team briefings and escalations

- Basic computer literacy for scheduling, reporting, and warehouse management systems

- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as sort center operations run around the clock
