# Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Global Sales Finance – EMEA – Amazon

This role sits inside Amazon Web Services’ Finance organisation, working alongside the EMEA Amazon Global Sales teams that carry the commercial relationships with AWS’s largest customers. A Senior Financial Analyst at this level is less bookkeeper and more business partner: the job is to turn a fast-growing, fast-changing sales business into numbers leadership can act on, and then to sit in the room when those numbers get argued over.

Day to day, expect a mix of recurring rhythm and ad-hoc firefighting. Monthly and quarterly close cycles, revenue and pipeline forecasting, variance analysis against plan, and building the models that sales leadership uses to decide where to add headcount or shift incentive structures. Because AWS sales finance touches revenue recognition, discounting, and deal economics, there is also a steady stream of one-off deal reviews – assessing whether a proposed enterprise contract makes financial sense before it goes to the customer.

The EMEA scope means working across multiple currencies, tax jurisdictions, and go-to-market structures, and coordinating with finance counterparts in other regions and in Seattle. Stakeholder management is a real part of the job – this is a role where the numbers only matter if a busy VP of Sales trusts them and acts on them, so clarity and defensibility of analysis matter as much as the analysis itself.

It suits someone who is genuinely fluent in financial modelling but doesn’t want to be locked in a back office – someone who likes explaining a variance out loud, pushing back on an unrealistic forecast, and building the kind of financial narrative that changes a commercial decision.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related quantitative field

- Several years’ experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar commercial finance role

- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet modelling skills; comfort with large, imperfect datasets

- Experience with an ERP or financial systems environment (e.g. Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)

- Ability to translate financial detail into a clear narrative for non-finance stakeholders

- Prior exposure to sales finance, revenue forecasting, or deal/contract economics is an advantage

- Comfortable operating across EMEA time zones and multi-currency reporting
