# Secondary Math Teacher – GEMS Education

GEMS Education is hiring a Secondary Math Teacher for one of its Dubai schools, within a network committed to delivering education at an exceptional level – a role focused on building both the technical skill and the confidence secondary students need to perform well in mathematics, a subject where outcomes tend to be closely tracked by both parents and inspectors.

The work covers planning and delivering math lessons across the relevant secondary grade levels, assessing progress against clear benchmarks, identifying and supporting students who are falling behind before gaps widen, and stretching higher-achieving students appropriately rather than letting the pace settle at the middle of the class. As across most GEMS roles, there’s also an expectation of contribution to school life beyond the classroom.

It suits a qualified math teacher with strong secondary classroom experience who’s comfortable differentiating instruction across a genuinely wide ability range, and who wants to teach within a well-resourced international school environment with structured curriculum and departmental support.

## Requirements

- Recognized teaching qualification with a mathematics specialization

- Proven classroom experience teaching mathematics at secondary level

- Strong differentiation skills across a wide range of student ability

- Experience with an international curriculum (British, American, or IB) is a strong advantage

- Willingness to contribute to pastoral care and extracurricular school life

- Clear, structured teaching style suited to building mathematical confidence
