# Secondary Math Teacher – GEMS Education

This role delivers the secondary mathematics curriculum within a GEMS school recognized for an outstanding school environment, likely following British or American curriculum standards through to senior secondary level. Day to day, that means lesson planning and delivery across secondary year groups, assessing and tracking pupil attainment, and differentiating instruction for mixed-ability classes.

Maths is one of the core subjects most closely scrutinized by parents, exam boards, and school inspectors, so there’s an expectation of consistent, high-quality delivery through to exam-level courses such as IGCSE or A-level (or their equivalents). Beyond the classroom, the role likely involves contributing to department planning and possibly exam-board coordination alongside fellow maths teachers.

This suits a qualified, subject-specialist maths teacher who wants to work within a well-resourced international school environment with a strong existing reputation.

It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys the rigor of teaching a core academic subject and wants to be part of a department that’s already performing well.

## Requirements

- Recognized teaching qualification with a mathematics specialism

- Secondary teaching experience in an international, British, or American curriculum setting

- Strong subject knowledge through to senior secondary level (IGCSE, A-level, or equivalent)

- Experience differentiating instruction for mixed-ability classrooms

- UAE teaching license eligibility
