# Registered Nurse – PICU – NMC Healthcare

NMC Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, one of the more demanding and high-stakes nursing specialties, caring for critically ill infants and children who require continuous, close monitoring. This role calls for nurses who are both clinically sharp and emotionally resilient, PICU work means managing rapidly changing patient conditions while also supporting frightened families through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

In line with NMC’s nursing mission of safe, compassionate, and competent care, PICU nurses are expected to combine technical precision, titrating medications, managing ventilators and monitoring equipment, reading subtle changes in a child’s condition, with a bedside manner that reassures both the patient and their parents. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required, and prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience is strongly preferred given the specialized skill set involved.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a valid DHA or relevant UAE nursing license (or active eligibility)

- Prior PICU or pediatric critical care nursing experience strongly preferred

- Proficiency with pediatric ventilator management, critical monitoring equipment, and medication titration

- Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize and escalate subtle changes in a child’s condition quickly

- Compassionate, clear communication with distressed families during critical moments

- Comfortable working rotating shifts in a high-acuity, emotionally demanding environment

- Commitment to ongoing competency training specific to pediatric critical care
