# Primary Teachers – GEMS Education

GEMS Winchester School Fujairah is looking for Primary Teachers to join its teaching team, covering the foundational years where a child’s relationship with learning really gets established. This is a classroom-based role at a GEMS school, which means working within an established curriculum framework and school-wide standards while still bringing real personality and judgment to how each lesson actually lands with a class of young learners.

The core of the job is planning and delivering engaging primary-level lessons, tracking each child’s progress closely enough to adjust teaching when something isn’t working, and managing a classroom in a way that keeps young students both safe and genuinely interested. Beyond the classroom, primary teachers at GEMS schools are typically involved in parent communication, pastoral care, and contributing to the wider school community through events, clubs or co-curricular activities.

This suits a qualified, patient primary teacher who enjoys the early-years age group specifically, is comfortable differentiating instruction across a range of abilities in one classroom, and wants ongoing professional development as part of a long-term teaching career, which GEMS explicitly positions as part of working there.

## Requirements

- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g. B.Ed, PGCE or equivalent) relevant to primary education

- Prior classroom experience teaching primary-aged students, ideally within an international curriculum

- Strong classroom management skills suited to young learners

- Ability to differentiate instruction across a range of abilities within one class

- Good communication skills for engaging with parents and the wider school community

- Genuine enjoyment of working with and caring for young children day to day
