Job Description

This Personal Trainer role is with one of Landmark Group’s health and fitness brands, part of a leading retail, hospitality, and leisure organization in the Middle East with 25-plus value-led, own-built brands across the region. Fitness and leisure is one of the customer-facing categories within Landmark’s broader portfolio, and this role sits directly on the floor delivering that experience to members.

Day to day, the role involves designing and delivering personalized training programs for members based on their goals and fitness levels, providing hands-on coaching and motivation during sessions, tracking client progress over time, and generally contributing to a positive, safe gym floor environment. Building genuine, ongoing relationships with members matters as much as technical training expertise, since client retention in personal training is heavily relationship-driven.

This suits a qualified personal trainer who’s genuinely motivated by helping people reach fitness goals, comfortable working one-on-one and building rapport quickly, and confident designing safe, effective programs across a range of client fitness levels and goals. Relevant fitness certification is essential, and strong communication and motivational skills matter as much as exercise science knowledge.

Being part of Landmark Group means working within an established, well-resourced fitness and leisure operation, with the training facilities and operational support that come from being part of a large regional group rather than an independent studio.

Impact of the Job

Personal training is one of the more directly relationship-driven parts of a fitness business, and a strong trainer has an outsized effect on member retention — clients who build a genuine connection with their trainer and see real progress are far more likely to renew memberships and recommend the facility to others. This role directly shapes that experience for the members it works with, which has a measurable effect on revenue for the business given how much of fitness industry profitability depends on member retention rather than one-off sign-ups. Beyond individual client relationships, a strong personal trainer also contributes to the overall energy and reputation of the gym floor, which affects the broader membership base's experience, not just personal training clients specifically. As part of Landmark Group's wider fitness and leisure portfolio, consistent, high-quality personal training also protects the brand's reputation within a competitive fitness market, where word-of-mouth and member satisfaction heavily influence new membership growth. Good personal training work compounds: satisfied clients stay longer, refer friends, and often upgrade to more sessions over time.

Job Seeker Benefit

Working as a personal trainer within an established group like Landmark gives you access to better facilities, a steady client base, and operational support that independent or freelance personal training often lacks, which lets you focus on coaching rather than business administration. You'll build strong, practical expertise across program design, client relationship management, and motivational coaching — skills that are valuable whether you stay in personal training long-term or move toward fitness management, group class leadership, or a broader wellness career. Being part of a large regional group also creates genuine internal mobility: trainers who build a strong client base and track record often have opportunities to move into senior trainer, fitness manager, or facility management roles within the group over time. The UAE has a genuinely large and growing fitness and wellness market, so building a strong reputation as a personal trainer here is valuable groundwork whether you stay within Landmark's fitness brands or eventually move toward independent training or a broader wellness business. For anyone building a long-term career in fitness, coaching within an established, well-resourced organization is a strong way to build both client-facing skill and a credible professional track record. It's also simply rewarding, day to day, in a way many careers aren't — you get to see the direct, tangible results of your work in your clients' progress.
