# Music Teacher – Immediate Start – GEMS Education

Dubai American Academy, GEMS Education’s flagship American curriculum school, is hiring a Music Teacher for an immediate start – a role at a school that’s held an outstanding KHDA rating for thirteen consecutive years, which says something about the standard of teaching and program quality expected across every subject, including the arts.

The role involves planning and delivering music lessons across the relevant grade levels, likely including both classroom music education and ensemble or performance-based activities that are a visible, valued part of school life at a school with DAA’s reputation. Immediate-start roles like this one typically mean stepping into an existing program rather than building one from scratch, so there’s structure to work within from day one.

It suits a qualified music teacher who’s comfortable both in a classroom teaching setting and leading ensembles, performances, or school events, and who wants to teach at a school where the arts are genuinely resourced and valued rather than treated as an afterthought. Experience with an American curriculum is a strong advantage given DAA’s specific program, though not necessarily a strict requirement for an experienced, adaptable music educator.

## Requirements

- Recognized teaching qualification with a music specialization, or equivalent professional music education experience

- Classroom teaching experience in music at the relevant grade levels

- Experience leading ensembles, performances, or school musical events

- Familiarity with an American curriculum framework is an advantage

- Availability for an immediate start

- Strong classroom management and communication skills
