# Music Teacher – Immediate Start – GEMS Education

This Music Teacher role is an immediate-start position at Dubai American Academy (DAA), GEMS Education’s flagship American curriculum school and one of the UAE’s longest-running institutions to hold an outstanding KHDA rating for thirteen consecutive years. The role covers teaching music across the school, from building students’ practical and theoretical skills to supporting the kind of performance and ensemble opportunities a well-resourced American curriculum school can offer.

Day to day, expect lesson planning and delivery across different age groups and ability levels, running or supporting ensembles, choirs or performance groups, assessing student progress, and contributing to school events and concerts that showcase student work. Because this is an immediate start, the ability to pick up an existing programme quickly and bring energy to it from day one matters as much as long-term planning skill.

It suits a qualified, experienced music educator who is confident teaching across a range of ability levels, comfortable organising and directing performance opportunities, and genuinely energised by working in a school environment with a strong existing music culture and the resources to support it properly.

## Requirements

- Recognised teaching qualification with a specialism in music education
