# Music Teacher – Immediate Start – GEMS Education

Dubai American Academy, GEMS Education’s flagship American curriculum school with an Outstanding KHDA rating sustained for 13 consecutive years, is hiring a Music Teacher on an immediate-start basis. Music at a school with this level of academic reputation isn’t an afterthought subject, it’s expected to carry the same standard of planning, performance opportunity, and genuine student development as any core subject.

The role covers planning and delivering music lessons across the relevant age range, building students’ practical performance and theoretical understanding, organizing or supporting school performances and ensembles, and assessing progress in a subject where motivation and confidence matter as much as technical skill. Because the role is an immediate start, there’s an expectation of being able to step into an existing program and curriculum structure quickly without a long ramp-up period.

## Requirements

- Recognized teaching qualification with a specialization in Music, or equivalent professional music education credentials

- Proven classroom teaching experience in a school setting, ideally within an American or international curriculum framework

- Strong practical and theoretical music knowledge, with the ability to teach performance skills across relevant instruments or voice

- Experience organizing or supporting school performances, ensembles, or music events

- Ability to start immediately and integrate quickly into an existing music program and curriculum

- Strong classroom management and the ability to build student confidence in a performance-based subject
