This Senior Financial Analyst role sits within Amazon’s MEATR (Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Russia) Stores FP&A team in Dubai, supporting the finance function behind Amazon’s retail business across one of its fastest-growing, most operationally diverse regions. FP&A at Amazon isn’t a back-office reporting function — it’s built to sit close to the business, which means this analyst will spend real time with category, operations, and marketing leaders, not just with spreadsheets.

The day-to-day centers on the core rhythm of retail finance: building and maintaining forecasts, running monthly close and variance analysis, and translating what’s happening in the numbers into something operational leaders can act on. Because MEATR spans multiple countries at very different stages of e-commerce maturity, a meaningful part of the job is understanding which drivers actually explain performance in each market — currency effects, category mix, logistics cost structures — rather than applying a single template across the whole region. Analysts here are also expected to challenge the business, not just report on it: flagging where a forecast looks optimistic, or where a cost trend needs attention before it becomes a problem.

This role suits someone who’s genuinely comfortable with ambiguity and scale at the same time — a market growing this quickly doesn’t come with clean historical baselines, so analysts need to build sound judgment into their models rather than leaning entirely on precedent. Strong Excel/modeling skills are the baseline; what differentiates candidates is the ability to communicate financial findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders and to work independently across a region rather than a single, tidy market.

## Requirements

- Experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a related analytical finance role

- Experience supporting or partnering with retail, operations, or e-commerce business teams is an advantage

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
