# Mathematics Teachers – GEMS Education

GEMS Education is hiring a Mathematics Teacher for one of its Dubai schools, teaching within an international curriculum framework such as IB, British, or American, depending on the school. The role spans planning and delivering maths instruction across the relevant secondary or senior year groups.

Day to day, the teacher plans lessons aligned with curriculum standards, delivers instruction that builds both procedural fluency and genuine mathematical understanding, assesses student progress through classwork and formal assessment, and supports students through to their external examinations. Upholding the values of GEMS Education and, where relevant, the IB Learner Profile is part of the wider expectation — helping students become confident, logical thinkers rather than just exam-ready.

This role suits a qualified Mathematics teacher with international curriculum experience who can teach across a range of ability levels, since maths classrooms often include students with widely varying starting points and confidence levels with the subject. Strong classroom management alongside clear, structured explanation of mathematical concepts is central to succeeding in this role.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field

- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)

- Experience teaching Mathematics within an international curriculum (IB, British, or American system)

- Strong subject knowledge across the relevant secondary or senior maths curriculum

- Experience preparing students for external Mathematics examinations

- Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of student abilities

- Genuine commitment to building both procedural skill and conceptual understanding in students
