# Mathematics Teacher – GEMS Education

GEMS World Academy–Dubai is looking for a Mathematics Teacher to join its secondary faculty. GWA is a private, co-educational IB World School serving students from PreK through Grade 12, authorised to deliver the PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programmes — which means this role sits within an internationally-benchmarked curriculum framework rather than a standard national syllabus.

The day-to-day work involves planning and delivering mathematics instruction aligned to IB curriculum standards, assessing student work against IB criteria, and supporting students through what can be a genuinely demanding academic framework, particularly at Diploma Programme level. IB teaching also typically involves a stronger emphasis on conceptual understanding and inquiry-based learning compared to more traditional, exam-focused syllabi.

## Requirements

- Recognized teaching qualification in mathematics, with a relevant degree in mathematics or a related field

- Experience with inquiry-based and conceptual teaching approaches
