# Lifeguard – Landmark Group

The role sits within the fitness and leisure side of the business, responsible for pool safety at a facility that’s part of a much larger, well-resourced leisure operation.

Day to day, the job is exactly what it sounds like at its core — constant, attentive supervision of pool areas to prevent accidents and respond quickly if one occurs — but it also typically includes enforcing pool rules consistently and fairly, checking water quality and safety equipment regularly, and maintaining certifications for CPR and water rescue. In a facility with regular members, lifeguards also become a familiar, trusted presence, which matters for how safe and welcoming the space feels overall.
