ICQA Supervisor – Amazon

Dubai Full-time

Job Description

Every item that moves through an Amazon delivery station has to be where the system thinks it is, in the condition the system thinks it’s in. The ICQA (Inventory Control and Quality Assurance) Supervisor in Dubai owns that integrity for the floor: leading a team of associates who run inventory accuracy checks, quality audits, and process compliance reviews across receiving, stowing, and dispatch.

The job runs on two tracks simultaneously. One is people leadership: scheduling the ICQA team, training associates on audit procedures, and holding the line on quality standards even when the rest of the floor is under pressure to move volume faster. The other is investigative: when a cycle count comes back off, or a damage rate ticks up on a particular line, the supervisor has to trace it back to a cause (a mis-scan, a training gap, a process defect) and fix it rather than just logging it.

Because ICQA sits at the intersection of operations and quality, the supervisor is also the person operations managers come to when they need a trustworthy read on what’s actually happening with inventory accuracy, so credibility and precision in reporting matter as much as the floor leadership itself.

It suits someone detail-oriented who doesn’t get rattled by volume pressure, and who’s comfortable being the person who says ‘this isn’t ready to ship’ even when that’s the less popular answer in the moment.

Impact of the Job

Inventory inaccuracy is one of the most expensive hidden costs in any fulfilment operation: a system that thinks stock exists when it doesn't (or vice versa) causes failed promises to customers, wasted picking effort, and costly reconciliation work downstream. The ICQA Supervisor is the frontline defense against that drift, catching discrepancies and quality defects before they compound into customer-facing problems or financial write-offs. This role also protects Amazon's quality reputation at the point where it's most fragile, the physical handling of goods, by making sure damaged or mis-picked items are caught before they reach a customer. A delivery station with strong ICQA discipline sees fewer returns, fewer customer complaints, and fewer costly chargebacks, all of which affect the site's standing in Amazon's internal performance rankings and, ultimately, its investment and growth trajectory within the network. Because inventory and quality metrics are visible across Amazon's broader network reporting, how well this function performs at a single site also shapes how that site is benchmarked against sister sites, which has a real bearing on future headcount and investment decisions.

Job Seeker Benefit

ICQA leadership is one of the more specialized, respected tracks inside warehouse operations because it sits adjacent to both quality management and loss prevention, two disciplines that are in demand well beyond Amazon. Someone who runs this function for a couple of years builds a genuinely transferable skill set: structured auditing, root-cause investigation, and the discipline to hold a quality bar under operational pressure, all of which are directly relevant to quality assurance and supply chain integrity roles across retail, manufacturing, and logistics. It also develops a specific kind of credibility that's valuable career-wide: being the person whose numbers and findings are trusted without double-checking. That reputation, built through consistent, accurate reporting under pressure, tends to open doors to broader operations and quality leadership roles faster than pure throughput-focused supervisory experience does, because it signals rigor rather than just speed. For someone eyeing a longer-term move into supply chain quality management, loss prevention, or even internal audit, this role is a concrete, resume-ready proof point: real experience catching and fixing the kind of inventory and quality issues that most companies only discover after they've already cost money. The habit of documenting findings precisely enough that someone else could act on them without re-doing the investigation is also a quietly valuable professional skill that carries forward into almost any analytical or audit-adjacent role later on.
