# Data Center Technician – 2027 Internship – Amazon

This is AWS’s Data Center Technician internship pipeline for 2027, based in Dubai. It’s a structured internship rather than a general entry-level job, aimed at giving someone early in their technical career hands-on exposure to how AWS actually runs the physical infrastructure behind cloud computing — the data centers themselves, not the software layered on top.

Interns in this kind of program typically rotate through aspects of data center operations under supervision: assisting with hardware installation and troubleshooting, shadowing facility and network technicians, and learning the operational procedures that keep a live data center running safely. It’s deliberately structured as a learning program, with mentorship and training built in, rather than someone being thrown straight into unsupervised critical work.

It suits students or recent graduates in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, or IT-related fields who want real exposure to data center infrastructure before committing to a full-time path in the space. Given it’s aimed at the 2027 intake, it’s a good fit for someone currently finishing their studies or recently graduated who wants a credible first step into a field that’s otherwise hard to break into without prior experience.

## Requirements

- Currently studying or recently graduated in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, or a related technical field

- Genuine interest in data center infrastructure, hardware, or networking

- Willingness to work on-site and, where required, in shift-based rotations

- Basic troubleshooting mindset and comfort following safety and operational procedures

- Good communication skills for working closely with supervising technicians

- Eligibility to work in the UAE for the internship duration
