# Continuous Process Improvement Ops Specialist(Abu Dhabi), Anow Last Mile – Amazon

Amazon’s Ultra Fast Grocery (UFG) business runs on tight delivery windows, which means small process inefficiencies that would be invisible in a normal warehouse become visible fast in grocery: a slow pick path or a bad layout decision shows up directly in missed delivery promises. This ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) Specialist role, based around Abu Dhabi for the Anow Last Mile side of UFG, exists to find and fix exactly that kind of friction before it becomes a pattern.

The work is a mix of floor observation and structured problem solving: walking the operation, timing processes, talking to the associates actually doing the work, and then running that information through Amazon’s standard continuous-improvement toolkit (root cause analysis, Kaizen-style events, standard operating procedure updates) to land a fix that sticks rather than a one-off patch.

Because UFG spans grocery-specific challenges like cold chain, perishability, and very short delivery windows, the specialist needs to understand not just general warehouse flow but what breaks differently when the product is fresh food rather than a standard parcel.

It suits someone analytical who also wants to be on the floor rather than purely behind a spreadsheet, comfortable presenting a data-backed case for a process change to operations leaders who will push back on anything that isn’t well argued.

## Requirements

- Experience in process improvement, industrial engineering, or operations within a warehouse, grocery, or fast-moving logistics environment

- Working familiarity with continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma-style root cause analysis

- Comfortable collecting and analyzing operational data (time studies, throughput, defect rates) and turning it into a clear recommendation

- Strong stakeholder communication, able to present a case for change to operations managers and get buy-in

- Hands-on mindset; willing to spend significant time on the warehouse floor rather than solely at a desk

- Proficiency with spreadsheets and standard reporting tools for tracking before/after process metrics
