# Arabic & Islamic Teacher (Arabs & non-Arabs) (KG-Cycle1) Immediate start – GEMS Education

GEMS Education is hiring an Arabic and Islamic Studies Teacher for KG to Cycle 1 (early primary) at one of its Abu Dhabi schools, open to both Arab and non-Arab qualified teachers, with an immediate start. The role covers teaching both Arabic language and Islamic Studies to young learners within an established international school curriculum.

Day to day, the teacher plans and delivers age-appropriate Arabic language and Islamic Studies lessons, builds foundational literacy and cultural understanding for young children, assesses student progress, and communicates regularly with parents on development. At the KG-Cycle 1 stage, a large part of effective teaching is about engagement and classroom management as much as subject content — making lessons age-appropriate, interactive, and consistent.

This role suits a qualified, experienced early-years or primary teacher with strong Arabic language and Islamic Studies subject knowledge who genuinely enjoys working with young children. ## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, or a related field

- Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent) preferred

- Prior experience teaching Arabic and/or Islamic Studies at KG or early primary level

- Strong classroom management skills appropriate for young learners

- Fluent Arabic language skills; strong knowledge of Islamic Studies curriculum content

- Genuine enthusiasm for early-years education and child development

- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and school leadership on student progress
