# Arabic B Teacher (Primary) – GEMS Education

GEMS Legacy School in Dubai is hiring an experienced Primary Arabic B teacher, covering Arabic as a second or additional language for students who aren’t native Arabic speakers. Arabic B is a distinct teaching discipline from Arabic A (first language) — it requires a different pedagogical approach suited to building language proficiency from a non-native starting point, often across a genuinely international mix of students in a Dubai classroom.

The role covers planning and delivering Primary-level Arabic B lessons that build genuine language competency — speaking, listening, reading, and writing — in a way that’s engaging and age-appropriate for younger learners, many of whom may have had little to no prior exposure to Arabic. It also means contributing to the kind of inspiring, well-resourced learning environment GEMS schools are known for, and working within the UAE’s requirement that Arabic be taught as part of the curriculum in private schools.

It’s a strong fit for an experienced teacher with specific Arabic-as-a-second-language expertise who enjoys the particular challenge — and reward — of building language confidence in young learners from a genuine starting point.

## Requirements

- Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed or equivalent) with Arabic language teaching specialism

- Experience teaching Arabic B (second/additional language) at Primary level

- Strong understanding of second-language acquisition methodology for young learners

- Classroom management skills suited to Primary-age, often mixed-nationality classes

- Familiarity with UAE Ministry of Education Arabic curriculum requirements for private schools

- Patience and creativity in building language confidence for students with limited prior exposure
