# AI & Data Engineer – Al Ain-based – Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways is hiring a AI & Data Engineer – Al Ain-based, based in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways is the UAE’s national airline, flying passengers and cargo worldwide from its hub in Abu Dhabi. This role sits inside AI and data engineering, supporting the airline’s digital and data systems — the behind-the-scenes technology that keeps flights, pricing, operations or customer systems running reliably at airline scale.

Depending on the exact mandate, expect responsibilities spanning building or maintaining data pipelines and models, delivering technical product roadmaps, or managing vendor systems (such as PROS-type revenue or pricing platforms) that the wider airline business depends on operating correctly, every day, without exception. Aviation technology work has unusually low tolerance for downtime, since the systems involved often touch live flight operations or revenue.

Etihad Airways will be looking for someone with relevant technical experience (data engineering, software delivery or systems/product management depending on the role), strong stakeholder skills to work with both technical and operational teams, and the reliability mindset that aviation-grade systems demand.

## Requirements

- Relevant technical degree and demonstrable experience in AI and data engineering

- Strong data, engineering or systems/product delivery skills depending on the specific role

- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders

- Comfortable with the reliability and change-management discipline needed for operationally critical systems

- Clear communication of technical work to non-technical airline operations stakeholders

- Aviation or airline industry experience is an advantage, though not always essential

## Suggested Resume Keywords

AI and data engineering, data engineering, aviation technology, systems delivery, product management, airline systems, technical delivery, stakeholder management, revenue systems, UAE aviation tech
