# Accountant – Landmark Group

Landmark Group is one of the largest omnichannel retail and hospitality conglomerates in the GCC, spanning fashion, home, leisure, and food across multiple countries, and an Accountant within this structure supports the financial reporting and control processes that keep a business of this scale and complexity running accurately. The role sits within a broader finance function supporting one or more of the group’s business units or brands.

The day-to-day work typically includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities, supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reports, and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls. Because Landmark operates across multiple brands and countries, accountants here often need to understand how their specific business unit’s numbers roll up into broader group reporting, adding a layer of complexity beyond single-entity accounting.

Accuracy and attention to detail are non-negotiable in this role, since errors in financial reporting can cascade into incorrect management decisions or compliance issues. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems are essential, as is the ability to work to close deadlines that repeat every month.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred or in progress

- Experience in financial accounting, ideally within retail, FMCG, or a multi-brand organization

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and month-end close processes

- Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP or accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

- Ability to meet recurring monthly deadlines under time pressure

- Good communication skills for coordinating with other finance and business teams
