About the Role
Big Ticket LLC – Abu Dhabi’s iconic monthly lottery and entertainment brand since 1992 – is hiring a Financial Controller. This is a hands-on senior finance role at the heart of the business. You will own the full financial control function, from month-end close and statutory reporting through to treasury, audit, compliance, and building the division’s procurement capability from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the month-end process end to end — financial statements, management accounts, accuracy and reconciliation
- Run the accounting department on a day-to-day basis, managing the team and operations
- Take full accountability for treasury, cashflow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Drive compliance across FTA, VAT, corporate tax, and financial audits
- Implement and maintain internal controls safeguarding company assets
- Manage the external audit relationship end-to-end
- Build and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and systems
- Build the procurement function from the ground up — SOPs, policy, and vendor management framework
- Develop and execute procurement strategies and negotiate with suppliers
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualified experience; Big 4 audit background preferred
- Extensive experience as a Financial Controller or equivalent senior finance role
- Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365; SAP or Oracle is a plus
- UAE corporate tax and VAT knowledge is a strong advantage
- Procurement experience including supplier negotiations and contract management
