About the Role & Company
Premium Brands & Africa Business Development ( ABD ) has an open BDM role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is a Sales seat inside a team that’s shaping how the function scales locally. In practice, that means faster feedback loops, more visible ownership, and less waiting your turn. The scope reads like a standard BDM brief on paper; in a growing team it usually stretches wider than the JD. Dubai remains a strong market for sales professionals; salaries have held up and tax structure keeps take-home meaningful. It’s a solid entry point for candidates who want regional exposure without giving up ownership of real work β you’re contributing, not observing.
Key Requirements
- Real-world communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare proposals, reports, and deliver persuasive presentations
- Hands-on time with understanding of African markets and regional business practices; experience with premium or consumer brands is an advantage
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus

Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare proposals, reports, and deliver persuasive presentations.
ATS Resume Tips for This Role
To get past Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) for this BDM opening, tailor your resume with the pointers below:
- Include these keywords verbatim in your Skills and Experience sections: Lead Generation, CRM, Pipeline Management, Negotiation, Account Management, B2B Sales, Salesforce, Cold Outreach, Consultative Selling, Quota Attainment. ATS parsers match exact strings, not synonyms.
- Use a single-column layout. Two-column resumes break parsers β text gets scrambled or dropped.
- Save as .docx or standard .pdf (not scanned/image PDF). Avoid text boxes, headers, footers, graphics.
- Use standard section headings: Experience, Education, Skills, Certifications.
- Mirror the exact job title (BDM) in your target role line where truthful.
- Quantify results with numbers, percentages, currency. Metrics improve ATS scoring and human review.
- Spell acronyms out once (e.g., Search Engine Optimization (SEO)) so parser catches both forms.
- Font: Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman at 10-12pt. Fancy fonts can render as unreadable glyphs.
