About the Role
GEMS Schools in the UAE are seeking an Assistant ICT Engineer to support the delivery of ICT services across the school. The successful candidate will assist in providing technical support to administrative and educational staff, helping to ensure the effective use of ICT systems, applications, and digital learning technologies.
The Assistant ICT Engineer will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operation of the school’s ICT infrastructure, ensuring that technology resources remain functional, secure, and available to support teaching, learning, and operational excellence.
Provide first-line technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, network, and classroom technology issues.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving ICT-related incidents in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Log, monitor, and update support requests through the school’s ticketing or service management system.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the ICT Engineer or relevant support teams as required.
- Support the maintenance and operation of the school’s ICT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, interactive displays, telephony systems, and audiovisual equipment.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
