About the Role
Snowheap is seeking an AI Compliance Engineer with a focus on Responsible AI. This remote contract role is ideal for a professional with expertise in AI governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance who wants to help organisations build trustworthy AI systems in line with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI compliance frameworks aligned with UAE, EU, and international AI regulations
- Conduct AI risk assessments and bias audits on deployed models
- Advise product and data science teams on responsible AI design principles
- Create documentation, policies, and audit trails for AI systems
- Monitor regulatory landscape and ensure ongoing compliance
- Engage with stakeholders on AI ethics, transparency, and explainability requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in AI governance, compliance, or a related technical field
- Understanding of AI/ML model development and deployment lifecycles
- Knowledge of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, UAE AI ethics guidelines)
- Experience conducting algorithmic audits or fairness assessments
- Strong communication skills for translating technical risk to business stakeholders
