Job Description

MAF Global Solutions is Majid Al Futtaim’s technology arm, supporting the group’s diverse portfolio of malls, retail, leisure, and hospitality businesses across the region. A Senior Enterprise Architect in this function sits at the intersection of technology strategy and business architecture, helping define how the group’s systems and platforms should be structured to support its evolving business needs.

The role involves developing and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure new systems and initiatives align with the broader technology strategy, evaluating platform and architecture decisions against both current needs and long-term scalability, and providing architectural guidance across a genuinely diverse set of business units. It’s a senior technical role that requires as much stakeholder influence and communication skill as deep architectural expertise.

It suits an experienced enterprise or solutions architect with a strong technology strategy background, ideally with exposure to retail, leisure, or multi-business-unit environments, who’s comfortable operating at both a strategic and a hands-on technical level. The ability to translate architectural decisions into business terms for non-technical stakeholders is central to doing this well.

Given Majid Al Futtaim’s scale and the breadth of businesses under MAF Global Solutions’ remit, this is a role with genuine strategic influence over how technology supports the group’s operations.

Impact of the Job

Enterprise architecture decisions made at this level have a long shelf life — a well-designed technology foundation supports years of business growth across multiple business units, while a poorly designed one creates costly technical debt and integration headaches that compound over time. A Senior Enterprise Architect at MAF Global Solutions directly shapes how well the group's diverse portfolio of malls, retail, and leisure businesses can adopt new systems, scale operations, and integrate technology across units that often have quite different operational needs. Because this role also involves stakeholder alignment across business and technology teams, getting that alignment right prevents the kind of duplicated effort or conflicting system investments that waste resources at group scale. In a business as large and operationally diverse as Majid Al Futtaim, architectural decisions made well at the enterprise level are a genuine multiplier on how efficiently the whole group's technology investment translates into business value.

Job Seeker Benefit

This role offers genuinely senior-level exposure to enterprise architecture at group scale, across a diverse multi-business-unit environment that few single-industry companies can match — the breadth of retail, leisure, and hospitality systems under one architecture strategy is a distinctive and valuable pattern of experience. For an architect building toward CTO, Head of Architecture, or broader technology leadership roles, this kind of cross-business strategic exposure is exactly the track record that tends to matter most. Working within MAF Global Solutions also means operating at the center of how one of the region's major conglomerates approaches technology strategy, which builds both deep technical credibility and genuine business acumen, since success in this role depends on understanding the businesses being served, not just the technology itself. The stakeholder management skills built here, translating technical strategy into decisions business leaders can act on, are a differentiator that separates senior architects from purely technical ones. For someone with strong architecture fundamentals who wants their next role to carry real strategic weight, this position offers that scope within a well-resourced, established regional group. It also builds genuine comfort presenting complex technical trade-offs to non-technical executives, a skill that increasingly separates senior architects from purely technical ones as careers progress.
