Job Description
Toobathleisure is a premium athleisure and sportswear brand based in Dubai. We’re growing fast, and looking for someone ready to grow with us. What you’ll own • Keep up accurate, up-to-date bookkeeping across our IFZA free zone and mainland entities, plus AP/AR and reconciliations • UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and WPS compliance • Budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and monthly management accounts • Primary point of contact for our external auditor, audit-ready books, always • Financial feasibility studies on new launches and major spend decisions • Advising the Founder directly on where to invest, where to cut, and what’s next • Translate attendance and leave records into accurate monthly payroll calculations • Review and clear employee expense claims and reimbursements submitted by staff • Keep up organized payroll and expense records for audit and compliance purposes • Flag payroll or expense anomalies before processing • Own day-to-day accounting operations and transaction processing, keeping our financial systems current and accurate
What we need • 5+ years’ finance/accounting experience in the UAE, ideally with exposure to both free zone and mainland regulatory treatment • Currently based in Dubai/UAE, able to join onsite immediately • Hands-on UAE Corporate Tax and VAT filing experience • Direct experience working with external auditors • Strong Excel skills; comfort with QuickBooks/Zoho Books/Xero • Retail, fashion, or DTC brand experience strongly preferred • E-commerce experience, comfortable reconciling online sales channels (Shopify or similar) alongside retail accounting • Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting; ACCA/CPA/CMA a plus, not mandatory if experience speaks for itself • Comfortable working directly with a Founder in a small, fast-moving team • Arabic language skills a plus • Discretion with sensitive financial and business information
This is a rare seat, full ownership of a finance function from the ground up, in a founder-led brand where your recommendations directly shape company decisions. You’ll be working closely with the Founder, with real potential to grow alongside the company as we scale, and the role to shape what your role becomes as the company grows.
