About the Role
Presight, Abu Dhabi’s leading big data analytics company under the G42 umbrella, is hiring a Senior Data Engineer. You will design and build enterprise-scale data platforms that power national analytics and AI programmes, working at the forefront of the UAE’s data-driven transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and data lake architectures for large-scale datasets
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability, quality, and governance
- Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions
- Optimise data platform performance and cost efficiency
- Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to technical standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Expert-level SQL and proficiency in Python or Scala
- Deep experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Expertise in Apache Spark, Kafka, and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt)
- Experience with large-scale government or enterprise data programmes preferred
