eMagine Solutions is recruiting a Finance Controller on behalf of a well-established commodities trading company based in JLT, Dubai. This senior, hands-on role is built for a finance professional who understands the nuances of international commodity trading—from margin analysis and FX exposure to trade finance and LC management—and can bring rigorous financial governance to a fast-paced commercial environment.
About the Role
You’ll lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, prepare management accounts and board-ready reporting packs, and build trading performance dashboards covering gross margin, net margin, landed costs, freight impact, and profitability by deal or counterparty. You’ll oversee trade finance processes (LCs, SBLCs, bank guarantees), manage cash flow forecasting, strengthen internal controls across procurement and logistics, and coordinate external audits—while mentoring a growing finance team.
Key Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA) or equivalent professional qualification
- 8–10 years of progressive finance experience including 3–5 years in commodities, trading, or international trading businesses
- Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments: Letters of Credit, SBLCs, FX hedging, and treasury
- Proven track record in month-end close, management reporting, and financial controls in multi-transaction environments
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder communication, and governance skills
